Come as a guest, and bring a friend, to mingle with the characters of this beloved story and watch as new twists play out before your eyes as the show unfolds all around you. The Scrooge and Marley Annual Christmas Ball is a theater experience that is designed to make you feel like your part of the story without any pressure to participate.

Every venue around Christmas is booked out for the foreseeable future by theater companies and shows that have been running for years. So when the owners of Red Bird wanted to write a Christmas show, they had to get creative and think outside the box. They decided to move the show outside the theater and structure it like an interactive theater experience! The vision is that a family could come to downtown CDA and shop, eat lunch and and grab a show all in a few hours.

Where is this going to be?
We have rented the Large Meeting Area from the Innovative Collective. It’s right next to Coeur D’Alene Coffee. The “show” will take place in a large room with tables. The audience will be seated at those tables with actors milling all around them and some may even sit at your table for a moment. The action will unfold all around you and you’ll see it from the first person perspective as if YOU are attending the party as a guest yourself.
Is it assigned seating?
The $10 tickets are general admission. Just pick any empty chairs around a table. If you purchase a table (8 seats) that table will be assigned to you and reserved with your name on it. Price is $70 for a full table.
Is this “A Christmas Carol”?
No, this is an original play/theater experience and we think you’ll love it. The story centers around Ebenezer Scrooge about 2 years after his “incident”.
Is it family friendly and safe for kids?
Very. It could be considered rated G and will be fun and safe for all ages even very small children.
What should I wear?
Since this isn’t a typical evening at the theater, casual attire is expected and encouraged. However, You will be surrounded by people dressed in costume.
Do I have to interact with the actors or will I be pulled on stage?
No. We tried to design the experience to be a no-pressure situation for the audience. You are welcome to come and attend and just watch if you like. The experience will be taking place all around you, but the actors have a script and lines to keep the show moving. But they will respond in character if spoken too.
It’s a party will there be wine or food?
There will be select finger foods at each table, small snacks such as fruit and chocolates. A proper meal and/or alcohol will not be served.
How long is the show?
The approximate runtime is about 1 hour and there are 4 shows a day. You can come and attend the party in the morning and come back in the evening with friends if you like 🙂
How do I get my tickets? Is there will call?
Your tickets will be reserved under the name you use when you purchase the tickets. There will be a check-in station where you simply give us your name and we’ll check you in off the guest list. Please bring your digital receipt to help us overcome any glitches that may occur.
